The Berthold foundry released this variation of the Akzidenz-Grotesk family, drawn by Günter Gerhard Lange, in 1983. Several characters - a, l, t, u, y, eszett, G, J, M, R - are available in both the original Akzidenz model and in the more contemporary look of this typeface design. As the name suggests, AG Schoolbook is highly legible and is designed for text usage.
